Networking Corner

Nearly 2,000 guests from different sectors participated in the Caring Company Recognition Ceremony. It would also be a good opportunity for networking and creating more collaborations between the business and social service sectors. Thus, the Networking Corner for Businesses and NGOs with 46 exhibiting units was set up.

Among the 46 booths exhibited, there were 21 under the theme of ‘Social Enterprise’. While the others highlighted their services as their themes.

What is 'Social Enterprise (SE)'?
'Social Enterprise' achieves social objective by adopting entrepreneurial strategy and business model. These social missions include:

  • Fill social needs
  • Create jobs
  • Empower participants
  • Build up social capital
  • Advance sustainable development

The revenue of Social Enterprise would be mainly reinvested for the development of community, disadvantaged groups and the enterprise itself. ‘SE’ emphasizes social value rather than the making of maximum profit.
